Benefits of Training

The main goal of this course is to provide participants with approaches to identify and address challenges and problems in the development and implementation of projects and programmes. Approaches include the log frame approach with stakeholder and situational analysis, using the problem and objective tree to assess the problem in more detail, and the theory of change. The course covers monitoring and evaluation as one of the tools to identify problems early and risk management to mitigate potential failure, as well as an introduction to proposal writing in order to obtain funding.

This course is designed for middle- to senior-level managers working in public health from national, provincial government or international agencies and non-government organisations, who are responsible for project management, its various administrative aspects and donor communications for the implementation of health programmes.
