Online Learning

The Childhood TB Learning Portal offers free interactive online courses, Childhood TB for Healthcare Workers, developed in collaboration with the World Health Organization, and the new Childhood MDR-TB for Healthcare Workers, as well as childhood TB resources.

WHO and The Union have released a training toolkit to combat childhood tuberculosis (TB). The training focuses on building the capacity of health care workers at the primary and secondary level to address and manage TB in children.

The Structured Operational Research and Training IniTiative’s video resources provide the SORT IT model online, so that individuals and institutions interested in building their operational research capacity may use and adopt these materials for improving health policies, practices and outcomes.

This workshop is designed to show participants what operational research is all about and how it can help in changing policy and practice in low- and middle-income countries.

The World Health Organization convened a workgroup in 2004 with representatives from WHO, CDC, RIT, The Union, and APHL to develop standard materials that all countries could use to improve their training efforts.

Since its launch in 2008, TREAT TB has assisted health professionals based in high-burden countries to develop the skills necessary to independently conduct high-quality operational research. In collaboration with TREAT TB partner organisations, The Union has produced the following e-tools that are available to anyone interested in learning more about operational research.
